Glenrock State Reserve: Yuelarbah Track

Today we did a short walk to Glenrock Lagoon. There were so, so many bell birds in the area. It was crazy. I have never heard that many in one place before. Kind of frustrating that you couldn't see them but you could hear them all around. I just love the picture above.
And it has given me a proper love-hate relationship with my polaroid filter. It is the reason that moss looks sooooo amazingly green. But it is also the reason I have to carefully unscrew the filter every time I want to take a low light photo without a tripod. The downside of having the main lens I have, its aperture doesn't alter enough to account for low light with a polaroid filter on. But, alas, it is worth it for that GREEN! LOOK AT IT! haha.
Anyway, the walk we did was about 5km round trip. I say about because I got side tracked a few times and clambered down embankments to get better photos of things, such as the above photo, and the ones below. I love them all too much to choose a favourite.

SO GREEN

I think we were there for about an hour and a half. But I didn't really look at the clock when we left. It was pretty easy going. There's one set of "illegal"* stairs in the middle of a bunch of rock stairs but other than that it's basically flat.

Glenrock Lagoon

The end point of the walk, where the Lagoon meets the beach

*Illegal in that they were really long and had no landing in the middle of them like is required now (Brandon's obsevation).
